About Romain
After I graduated from a French school of higher education as a chemical engineer, I passed competitive exams to become a teacher in public middle and high schools. I've taught for 9 years mainly physical sciences and chemistry, but also occasionally mathematics and other sciences.
I've also worked abroad (chemistry teacher in the USA in an American high school and chemical engineer in Japan) for a few months, which allowed me to practice English at a professional level and brought me an openness to mind and adaptability to people.
I've then lived in Thailand for 2 years, where I've taught scuba diving to hundreds of people of various nationalities. This rich experience allowed me to develop a pedagogy adapted to all on subjects as varied as first aid, environment, and physics ... Reassuring and managing the stress of my divers was the best way to give them the safest, most comfortable and entertaining experience while developing their skills.
Now back in France, and back as a teacher for National Education, I'd like to keep contact with foreigners learning French and help them develop their oral skills. Whether you are already in France or studying from your homeland, everyone can use a friend in another country :)

I believe everyone can learn better with an interesting and motivating problem. My role is to help and support you in analyzing any issue you have with understanding the content, practicing with exercises, or even the learning process. Positive reinforcement and comfort through repetition are my mottos.
Developing methods is essential to becoming more autonomous. Feedbacks and mental maps are two of many techniques I can teach you to help improve your memory. Analysing subjects to prepare for exams is also very useful. I can help you understand what's wrong and take action to regain control of your studies and succeed.
