About Laura
I am a qualified linguist with degrees in language studies and linguistics. For my functional skills learners, I see literacy as an important tool which both helps navigate day-to-day life and is a stepping stone towards achieving further goals. For my ESOL learners, I see multilingualism as a huge strength and something to be valued.

Lesson content is based on the curriculum for ESOL or Functional Skills English as appropriate. I aim to tailor my lessons to the preferred learning styles of my individual learners, and as such deliver learning through a variety of tasks and presentation methods.
