About Kamma
Hello! I am Kamma.
I’m a qualified and experienced Math tutor with a passion for helping students not just understand math, but truly enjoy it. With over a decade of teaching experience and a strong record of student success, I’ve worked with children aged 4 to 11 from a wide range of backgrounds, exploring their individual learning styles and helping them achieve their academic goals.
Over the years, I have updated my skills in foreign curricula and modern pedagogy in order to assist children using the adequate learning style for each child because I believe using a one-style-fits-all approach does not benefit all learners.
My teaching style is friendly and supportive. I believe children learn best when they feel confident enough to ask questions and make mistakes, knowing that both are important steps in the learning process. This helps to eradicate the popular fear for mathematics from an early age, boosting confidence in students which helps them in all areas of their academics and beyond.
I love bringing math to life through real-world examples and interactive activities, showing children how numbers connect to the world around them. Every lesson is carefully broken down according to the child’s age and level, making even tricky topics easier to grasp.
Before a concept is taught, I ensure to explain to my students the need to learn the concept and we both come up with goals to be achieved by the end of the class.
My personal goal as a tutor is to help children find a long-lasting love for mathematics. To achieve this, I embed core skills such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, mental math, word problem solving and critical thinking into lessons. These not only boost performance in academic areas but also build confidence for life.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy travelling, sewing, story telling and reading . I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them grow in confidence while achieving their academic goals.

My lessons learners ages 4 to 12.
These lessons are interactive, fun, sometimes gamified and adapted to each child's level and learning style.
The first class will be a free trial class of 30 minutes. Subsequent classes will last for 60 minutes per session.
Before each concept, the learner will be given the objective and relevance of the concept in order for us to set a goal to achieve by the end of the class. The goal will be targeted at learner's pace.
Each lesson will be well structured and timed to accommodate learning time, student practice and corrections. In each lesson, formative assessment will be actively practiced to support growth and proper understanding of each concept. With over a decade of experience in this field, I have been privileged to have helped over 500 learners both online and in physical classrooms find a new love for math and ace exams. I cannot wait to celebrate each milestone with you.
