About Emma
Hello! I am a Qualified Teacher with 8 years experience teaching in Primary and Secondary Schools. I teach lots of subjects, but my strengths are in English, Maths and History.
I studied at the University of Winchester for three years and left with BEd degree in Primary Education and nationally recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I then spent some time teaching in a primary school before moving to my current job as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school. My role includes teaching lessons in all subjects from Years 7 to 11, but I mainly teach English and History at Key Stage 3 level.

I am a Qualified Teacher with a total of 8 years teaching experience across primary and secondary education. My aim is to support your child in a calm, empathetic learning environment.
I offer tutoring for KS2 and KS3 students (Years 3 to 8) in English (also Maths and History). I will tailor your child's tutoring sessions to their current school topics in line with the National Curriculum, including Year 6 SATs, and/or any specific topic they need extra support with. Lessons typically last for an hour at a time, but I am able to make these longer or shorter if you wish.
My qualifications and experience:
- Upper Second Class Honours BEd Primary Education from the University of Winchester
- Nationally recognised Qualified Teacher Status
- Primary level teaching particularly in Reception, Year 2 and Year 4
- Secondary level teaching in Years 7 to 11 across all subjects, mostly in Key Stage 3 level English and History
