About Holly
I am a qualified science teacher with a BSc degree in Marine Biology with Oceanography and a Master's degree in Applied Marine Geoscience. My passion for Biology began through my interest in the natural world and has developed into a career dedicated to helping others understand and enjoy science.
Over the past four years, I have gained experience teaching and supporting students in a classroom setting, as well as through one-to-one tutoring. This has allowed me to work with students of different abilities and learning styles, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I pride myself on being approachable, patient, and supportive. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling challenging topics, and building their confidence in Biology.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors and staying active. I regularly play hockey and enjoy participating in a variety of sports. I am also a qualified scuba diver, which has allowed me to experience marine ecosystems first-hand and further fuel my fascination with the living world. My interest in nature and science helps me bring enthusiasm and real-world context to my teaching, making lessons engaging and relatable.
I find it incredibly rewarding to see students grow in confidence, develop their understanding of Biology, and achieve results they can be proud of.

My online GCSE Biology lessons are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of key concepts, and achieve their academic goals. Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or gain a deeper understanding of the subject, lessons are tailored to your individual needs and learning style.
With four years of classroom teaching experience, alongside private tutoring experience, I understand the challenges students can face when studying Biology. I break down complex topics into clear, manageable explanations and use a range of teaching methods to ensure lessons are engaging and accessible.
Each lesson is carefully planned around the GCSE specification, focusing on both subject knowledge and exam technique. We will work through difficult topics, practise exam-style questions, and develop effective revision strategies to help you maximise your marks. Regular feedback and progress tracking ensure that lessons remain focused on your areas for improvement.
