About Zizzy
I am a trained teacher and graduate of the University of Oxford, with a BA in History and French, and a PGCE with Distinction in Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Bristol.
In tutoring, I enjoy sharing the passions I have for languages, literature, and history. These are passions that have guided me through my studies, and continue to inform my personal and professional life.
I am an experienced and dedicated teacher, with experience in both Primary and Secondary roles. I am patient, encouraging, and truly believe in treating the student as an individual. Through this approach, my students are able to thrive and reach their full potential.
I enjoy travelling and cultural exchange. On my year abroad, I spent a fantastic three months studying in the South of France, followed by six months working at a film magazine in Paris. I then spent a year teaching English in Rouen, Normandy.
I was also the captain of the 2020 University Challenge team for the University of Bristol!
I can provide tutoring for learners of English as a foreign language including speaking practice, formal grammar lessons, and homework supervision.
I also coach students through university applications, and have seen great results. I can help with understanding the process, insider knowledge, personal statement writing, and application/interview preparation - particularly for those hoping to apply to Oxford or Cambridge.
