About Tasmin
I'm a qualified teacher based in Coates, Peterborough who is passionate about offering science and maths tutoring. I am happy to teach a broad range of topics within maths and science, and to tailor my style of teaching to the needs of my tutee.
I have a degree in chemistry from the University of Oxford, and completed A levels in chemistry, biology, and maths. I have enjoyed my time in teaching, and think the most rewarding moments are when working 1:1 with a student to foster a deeper understanding of a topic and allow them to stretch beyond the syllabus.
I am currenly working as a data analyst, with the ambition of tutoring in my spare time to make use of my teacher training. During school closures due to the Covid-19 outbreak, I will be offering 2 hours of reduced rate tuition (£1 per lesson).

I am a great advocate that the best way of learning is by doing. Therefore, my teaching style consists of covering examples and then giving my tutee time to practice, with support available if they require any. However, if a student requires a more instructive approach I am happy to adapt to their needs.
I am passionate about science and maths and always seek to share this passion with my students within lessons. I do this by providing real world examples to put the curriculum into context and by sharing first hand experiences of my time in science.
