About NATALIE
I am a qualified teacher of Italian, French and German. I have an ability to make language learning fun and memorable. My students manage to overcome their inhibitions and converse confidently in a foreign language. I use photos and an array of games and cards to assist memorisation of new vocabulary. I even get students to sing at times which helps them acquire a great accent. When you learn a foreign language, you begin to see the world from a different point of view and I really enjoy pointing out both the peculiarities of any foreign language and the beauty of words that don't exist in the English language.

I am a qualified teacher with fifteen years of experience and have taught to all abilities at Primary and Secondary Level but also to groups of adult learners. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Foreign Languages and also a PGCE in teaching Modern Foreign Languages. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language abroad in Italy and Germany. I use a fun approach to make language learning less daunting. I use games and even sometimes singing to assist learners of a foreign language to acquire a good accent and not feel inhibited. I have lived in both Italy and Germany and therefore bring authenticity into the language learning. I currently work in a mainstream Secondary school and therefore I keep up to date with the Curriculum for GCSE and A Level and have the ability to motivate young language learners. Learning a language is fun at any age and gives the ultimate reward of being able to communicate and engage with people from another culture.
