My name is Sanija, and I take pride in creating a supportive, professional, and motivating learning environment for every student I work with. As an Electrical Engineering student at Queen’s University, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills that allow me to explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently.

I understand that math can feel intimidating, so I focus on building confidence step by step. I am patient, well-prepared for every session, and committed to helping students truly understand the material—not just complete homework. My goal is to ensure each student feels capable, supported, and proud of their progress.

About the lesson

My name is Sanija, and I approach tutoring with a strong focus on building deep conceptual understanding rather than memorization. As an Electrical Engineering student at Queen’s University, I emphasize logical thinking, structured problem-solving, and connecting math to real-world applications in physics and programming.

A typical lesson begins with reviewing key concepts to ensure a solid foundation. I then guide students through worked examples, encouraging them to explain their reasoning so I can identify gaps in understanding. We gradually move to more challenging problems to build confidence and independence.

What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex ideas into clear, simple steps while fostering critical thinking. My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students, including those preparing for exams, strengthening fundamentals, or aiming for advanced STEM pathways.
