About Jessie
Teaching since 2006 in general and since 2014 in New York City with the Department of Education.
I currently teach at three of the specialized high schools in the city: LaGuardia (performing arts) , Stuyvesant and Art and Design. Part of my educational methodology includes meeting students where they are at and figuring out what's needed to help them learn best.

As an educator, I love helping students become readers, writers and critical thinkers. Also helping them learn to break down challenging assignments into bite size chunks/time management, etc.
Helping with college essays is also something I enjoy working on with high school students.
