About Mia
I am a recent English and American Literature graduate that can offer high level support with proof reading and essay writing at GCSE/A Level/degree level. I am also able to help with younger students to support with entrance exams, comprehension and other learning support. I am currently studying to gain my TEFL qualification in order to be able to provide better language/grammar support.
Throughout school and university I have offered younger students academic support in English, particularly with course work and proof reading (with one student improving from a D to a B in his GCSE!) I have also been instrumental in putting on creative based English lessons for pre-GCSE students to get them excited about English!

I try to tailor my teaching method to each individual student, as a student myself I found my learning was often based around a 'eureka moment' i.e. having something explained in different ways until I found a way that worked for me. This is ultimately what I aim to offer to each student, I try to plan my lessons around what they feel they need support in and come up with creative ways to get past those barriers. I am enthusiastic and incredibly patient, and excited to help students to be as excited about education and English as I am! I am also available to offer online support to students outside of lessons.
