About Emma
I am recent liberal arts college graduate with a double major in Modern Languages and Literatures and International Relations. I am a passionate learner of language and culture and have lived in France twice with host families and completed a semester of university classes in Paris. As an apprentice teacher at the university level for five semesters and a tutor since my junior year of high school, I have helped over 25 students learn and enjoy my favorite subject, French!

As a teacher and tutor I aim to make students feel comfortable and confident in the language with an emphasis on communication and understanding. Though I believe the best language learning is done almost entirely in the target language, I believe thorough comprehension is the most important and work with students to find what mode of learning is best for them. I teach students from middle school age to adults and am always trying to make the content relevant and fun whenever possible!
