About Aidan
I am a jazz saxophonist who is passionate not only about improvised music but also woodwind playing.
While at the Eastman School of Music I studied saxophone with Charles Pillow, composition and arranging with Bill Dobbins, and Ensembles with Gary Versace. I also worked out of a small studio where I taught beginners and advanced students ages 9-60yrs.

I think many students are turned off from the model of mindlessly learning etudes and scales. While these are the foundation to every musicians technique, without understanding how the music works it ceases to be enjoyable. Thats why I emphasize learning through listening to recordings and call and response .
