About Bella

I earned my degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), where I also pursued a minor in Mathematics. During my time at VMI, I engaged in chemistry research and had the honor of serving as president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) during my senior year. Additionally, I was a dedicated member of the varsity soccer team throughout all four years of my studies. Currently, I work as an engineer and have recently relocated to this area. I am excited to bring my technical background and leadership experience to new opportunities here.

About the lesson

I’m here to make math fun and easy to understand for kids of all ages! Whether your child is just starting to learn addition and subtraction or tackling more challenging subjects like geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, or even calculus, I provide patient, clear explanations and step-by-step guidance.

By breaking down complex ideas into simple, manageable pieces, I help students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills. Together, we’ll explore math concepts through examples, interactive practice, and real-life applications that make learning enjoyable and meaningful.

No matter the level, my goal is to support each child’s unique learning style and pace, making math a positive experience that opens the door to academic success.

I had never been able to play guitar until Bella taught me how to. She was very patient and took time out of her day to teach me for free. She taught me the fundamentals of strumming and the basic guitar chords until I was very functional in that area. She was a great help and made it so simple to learn the guitar. I highly recommend her as a guitar teacher.
