About Georgia
I have just completed a PhD in history at the University of Sydney, and am now doing my Masters of Teaching at the University of Adelaide so that I can teach history and english to secondary students. I have tutored and lectured in several first-year university courses in both history and politics.

To me, an ideal tutor is one that creates a supportive, encouraging, and positive environment for the student, and who challenges them to do the best to their ability. Ideally, a student should always feel comfortable asking the tutor as many questions as possible, and to feel as though their struggles/difficulties are valid and normal.
Generally, I adopt a more socio-constructivist approach to teaching, as I like to involve and engage students as much as possible in the content, so that this not only offers them higher-order thinking skills, but stimulates their interest in a topic.
