About Leigh
I absolutely love working with K-5 students! That is what I miss the most now that I am retired. Every student needs to feel loved and I have a heart with a lot of love to give. My 31 years of teaching was committed to one school district that I put my heart and soul into. Now it is time to put my heart and soul into tutoring students that I will have a ton of fun with. Laughing and being silly is part of my personality but I am also very fair and consistent with my expectations. I can’t wait to meet you!! ️

As a tutor, it is very important for me to build positive relationships with the students that I am working with. My lessons always begin with a get to know you activity and then moves into me modeling a skill followed by the student and I working on a skill together. The lesson ends with the student working on the skill independently with an exit ticket to wrap up our time together. Students in grades K-5 are the best fit for my reading, writing, math, science, social studies and test prep teaching experience.
