About Priya
I am Priya, based in Maidstone, Kent. I'm a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance(200hr-RYT). I also hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Yogic Science. I have completed my qualifications in Rishikesh, India, and have been practicing yoga for 3+ years.
I started practicing yoga while in college. I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and am passionate about the mental health benefits of yoga. Yoga has helped me reduce stress and become calmer over the years.
I am very adaptive in my teaching style and can accommodate both beginners and regular practitioners. The classes are designed according to the needs of the client(s). I am skilled in Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Meditation & Pranayama(breathing).
I wish to make more people know how cool yoga is! It is more than just exercise, it is a way of life.

Each class is designed to accommodate the needs of the client(s). I tend to focus on body alignment, correct postures, and balance. A typical session is 1 hour long and has a defined flow. I try to end with 5-10 mins of relaxation(pranayama/meditation).
All ages and abilities can be catered for. For private clients, I am happy to talk before the first session and discuss what they intend to gain from yoga. The sessions will then be formulated according to the style that's best suited.
I am passionate about making yoga more accessible. I believe that it can help a great deal with mental well-being in addition to the physical benefits.
