About Loz
I completed my LLB in 2020, leaving with a First Class degree; following this I began working as a representative, which led me to realise that I enjoy helping people understand the law (especially in relation to their rights!). My passion for civil/human rights led to a desire to research this topic from a critical perspective, and in 2023 I began studying for my LLM in Law and Social Justice, from which I graduated with a Distinction in 2025. I am now in the first year of a socio-legal studies PhD, for which I have been awarded full funding by the Economic and Social Research Council.

My approach is friendly and flexible, and I am happy to adapt to the preferred learning style of my students, incorporating as much structure as necessary for student development. This means we can create a structured plan of learning over a number of sessions or tackle certain problem areas as and when they arise. I am able to offer assistance in essay planning and exam preparation, but also supplementary tuition of a student's current curriculum to ensure comprehensive, enhanced understanding of subject materials. Studying above and beyond the set reading always leads to better grades!
I am an empathetic and patient tutor who is able to explain complex legal principles, legislation, and case law in an easy to understand and engaging way. I have spent 5 years as a legal representative specialising in disability rights and employment discrimination which means I am able to offer a supportive learning environment for all students including those who may have additional needs. I am incredibly passionate about the work that I do and about making legal education accessible and enjoyable.
My expertise is in human rights (international and European), discrimination law, and social/critical theories, however I am able to offer tutoring for A level law and sociology, all undergraduate QLD modules, as well as employment law.
