About Wendy
I am a research scientist with interests in meat quality, poultry production, processing, and microbiology. I earned my doctoral degree in Food and Agricultural Science and researched on the effect of environmental stressors on the meat quality of chicken. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science and a master’s degree in food science. I am a member of the Poultry Science Association, the American Society of Animal Science, and the Honors Society of Phi Kappa Phi. With this vast array of qualifications, experiences and training students and interns wherever I work, I am highly capable of providing tutoring and mentorship services to our future leaders.
