About Alysha
I am currently in the final year of my PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University. I work in the lab with brain cells from Alzheimers' patients and compare their behaviour with brain cells from healthy patients to try to better understand the disease.
I studied for both a masters and an undergraduate degree (in Biomedical science) at MMU.
I have most recently worked as a demonstrator in university labs to help students to better understand their lab work. Prior to this, I have worked with children aged from 5-10 teaching English and Maths.

I am happy to give lessons to anyone of any age and level who wishes to learn more about Biology!
In the first session, I will work with students in order to find out what level they are at and what kind of help they require.
In following sessions I can design powerpoint tutorials with helpful images and diagrams to explain and simplify complex topics. I am comfortable explaining (and have done) many techniques in molecular biology. I can also make fun quizzes and go through exam questions at any level if needed!
I am approachable and patient and love to teach so don't feel like you have to know anything before starting to be tutored.
