About Kevin
Hi, my name is Kevin, a Royal Northern College of Music trained session musician, teacher and producer!! I was originally trained in classical guitar (gaining a diploma before the age of 18) before starting my studies at the RNCM in popular music. As well as my diploma, I also have grade 8s in electric guitar and saxophone plus a grade 5 in piano. As well as teaching, I am a touring session musician, having been on numerous headline UK tours. I have also recorded at studios such as Abbey Road Studios and performed at venues such as The Lower Third in London, Band on the Wall in Manchester and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

I have experience teaching in a variety of methods so I am happy to work around you! If you're looking to learn specific songs or solos, I can teach them in the best method for you, whether that's via sheet music, tab or just by ear! If you're looking at taking graded exams, I have taught the Trinity Rock & Pop syllabus for a number of years, helping to guide students through exams. If you're not keen on taking exams but want the linear progress of learning the songs I am more than happy to work through the syllabus with you! For classical guitar I can recommend books to help refine technique or just to start learning to read sheet music and add to your repertoire.
