About Giselle
Greetings! My name is Giselle and I have just finished my first year with a 72% average reading Geography at King's College London. I am originally from Washington, D.C. and have been living in London for about a year now - I have to say I get what all the fuss is about! Between classes I love exploring London's different boroughs and food scenes, as well as going to rehearsals for my competitive dance troupe. I am also fluent in English, Russian and French, as well as having basic proficiencies in Mandarin. I tutored young students (age 9-14) in the US on all kinds of subjects ranging from Russian language to mathematics. I very much enjoy the teaching experience, as I know from my personal education experience how rewarding it is to completely grasp a challenging concept or subject. In terms of my tutoring style, I like to take a co-learning approach where I guide the learning of material in a slow and diligent way, so that the information can be processed and not forgotten. I also like to make connections with the subject matter at hand and real life-examples, so that there is a deeper connection and interest in the material.
