Learning a language is always a challenge. You have to be persistent and patient and it is very important to like the process. Of course it is easier to learn a language with another person because most people learn the language to talk to others. That's why the students choose to take private lessons, but why do they choose me?
I help my students not only learn phonetics, grammar, etc., but also build confidence and think differently. I am a positive, patient and funny person and after a few lessons with me, most people can already have a simple chat in Russian language.

Eight years of experience as an English teacher with different age groups and levels and four as a Russian teacher.
I have been teaching online for four years.
About the lessons and the methodology
For whom? I work with adults of all levels.
Where? Offline: in the cafe of Amersfoort or online via Skype or Zoom.
How long? 1 lesson is 60 minutes or 90 minutes.
Method
I use the «flipped classroom» method. In a nutshell, this is when a student prepares for a lesson and a lesson is done based on their homework. Theory is at home, practice is in the classroom.
Style
In my classes I use presentations, online tools (like google docs, quizlet and kahoot), games, authentic materials and materials that are just for you made! I create a folder for each student, where lessons are saved in PDF format and additional materials. The student can always look at the materials that have been used. I try to make my classes as interactive and entertaining as possible.

I've only been living in the Netherlands for 3 years and I already speak decent Dutch so I know how frustrating and how fun it can be to learn a new language from 0!
I also speak Latvian and a little Czech. I love to create (I love drawing and writing) that's why I bring a love of creativity into my classes.

Goedemiddag, ik volg al een tijdje lessen bij Ksenija.
Ik ben heel blij met haar. Ze stemt de lessen af op mijn behoefte en snelheid. Wanneer zij of ik onverwachts niet kan dan zoeken we samen naar een nieuwe lesmogelijkheid.
Ksenija is goed voorbereid en houdt aantekeningen bij tijdens de les. Ik ben erg enthousiast over haar.Ksenija is een zeer inspirerende, betrokken en bekwame docente Russische taal. Zonder enige kennis van het Russisch heeft Ksenija mij in een periode van 3/4 jaar ongelooflijk veel geleerd met een zeer afwisselend en boeiend lesprogramma. Wekelijks behandelden we thema's aan de hand van voor mij op maat gemaakte PDF-documenten. Ze is heel handig en snel met het aanmaken van woordenlijsten, accentueren van begrippen etc. Aanvankelijk leek het me moeilijk om in coronatijd alles online te doen, maar Ksenija heeft mij laten zien dat dit meer dan uitstekend werkt met Zoom, e-mail en whatsapp. Ze maakte ook persoonlijke geluidsfragmenten na afloop van de les met woorden en begrippen die ik erg moeilijk vond om uit te spreken. Ksenija is in alle opzichten een zeer flexibele en enthousiasmerende docente met een waardevolle dosis humor! Tijdstippen en dagen waarop ze beschikbaar is, onderwerpen die je behandeld wilt zien; alles is bespreekbaar met Ksenija! Ik zal in de toekomst Ksenija zeker als docente vragen om mij de Russische taal verder eigen te maken. Kortom, het is een feest om van haar les te krijgen!
