About Satarupa
I’m Satarupa, based in London, working as a business analyst alongside teaching yoga. I grew up with yoga as part of everyday life through my Indian heritage, so for me it’s always been more than exercise. It’s a way of returning to yourself, especially when life feels busy or scattered. Teaching came naturally once I realised how many people feel disconnected from their bodies and breath. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their practice, understand their own alignment, and create space to slow down. My approach is steady, supportive, and adaptable to whoever is in front of me—no pressure to perform or be “flexible,” just room to explore and grow.

My teaching is shaped by my Indian heritage and lived experience with yoga as something practical, steady, and rooted in daily life rather than performance. Each session is guided by how you feel on the day and what you want to develop—whether that’s strength, breath awareness, or simply slowing down. We move with attention and clarity, not rush or strain. You’ll learn how to adapt postures to your body so the practice feels supportive rather than something to “achieve.” The aim is for you to leave feeling grounded, clearer in your mind, and connected to your breath. I teach 1:1, in small groups, and at events, both online and in person.
