About Jacky
As your math tutor, I bring over 10 years of experience both as a classroom math teacher and a 1-on-1 tutor, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the City College of New York, which has given me a strong foundation in math and a deep understanding of its practical applications. My passion lies in helping students grasp difficult concepts, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
I believe that every student can excel in math with the right guidance and support. My teaching style is patient, adaptable, and focused on making math accessible and enjoyable. I take the time to understand each student’s unique learning style and challenges, tailoring my approach to ensure they not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine understanding of the material. Whether it's foundational skills or advanced topics, I’m committed to helping each student succeed and feel empowered in their math abilities.

With over 10 years of experience as both an in-school math teacher and a 1-on-1 tutor, I offer personalized, student-centered math tutoring for K-12 students, tailored to meet individual needs and learning styles. My teaching method combines direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive problem-solving, ensuring a deep understanding of concepts rather than mere memorization. Each lesson includes a review of previous material, introduction of new concepts with real-life examples, and practice problems to reinforce learning. What sets me apart is my ability to align tutoring with classroom expectations, providing targeted support that complements schoolwork and helps students excel, whether they are catching up, preparing for exams, or aiming to advance in their studies.
