A passionate secondary school classroom teacher with experience teaching GCSE Music (Edexcel & Eduqas) and A-Level Music (AQA). Acquired a degree in Music from University of Bristol, majoring in singing. Offering to teach: GCSE Music; AS/ A-level Music; GCSE Cantonese/ Mandarin; A-level Cantonese/ Mandarin; ABRSM Vocals/ Piano (up to grade 5)

I am a passionate musician who is eager to inspire young people's curiosity for music. I believe in "sound before symbol", meaning that students should first experience the sound of the music before learning about its associated symbol or name.
"Dominant seventh chord"; "interrupted cadence"; "relative minor key"... Ever felt overwhelmed and perplexed by the academic and theory side of Music? FEAR NOT!
Music is a beautiful subject, however, due to time constraint in schools, the academic and theory side of Music can often leave students feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
Through tutoring sessions, I intend to focus on developing student's understanding of set works, aural skills, keywords, and essay writing skills, etc.
Lessons will be structured in three main sections:
1) Introduction to new topic/ recap of previous lessons
2) Main learning
3) Plenary- assessing student's understanding
Apart from GCSE/ A-level Music lessons, I am also available to teach Vocal and Piano lessons (up to ABRSM Grade 5), as well as Mandarin/ Cantonese lessons.
Lessons can be taught in English, Mandarin or Cantonese.
