About Surajit
I am a motivated researcher and educator with a deep interest in organic synthesis and materials chemistry. I earned my BS-MS from IISER Berhampur with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Computer Science. I’ve cleared the CSIR-UGC NET with an All India Rank of 51, reflecting my strong academic foundation. Currently, I’m working at the Materials Research Centre, IISc Bangalore, where I focus on developing functional biomimetic materials. Beyond research, I genuinely enjoy teaching and mentoring students. I believe learning becomes easier when concepts are made relatable, and I strive to make science accessible and engaging for everyone. With experience in both lab work and computational tools, I aim to guide students with clarity and curiosity.
