About Sokhna

Hi, I'm a second-year Computational and Applied Mathematics student with a genuine passion for mathematics and helping others learn. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome and concepts are explained clearly. Whether you're looking to improve your marks, prepare for exams, or simply gain more confidence in maths, I'll work with you at a pace that suits your needs and help you build lasting problem-solving skills.

About the lesson

I believe that the best way to learn is by understanding the concepts rather than memorising methods. My lessons focus on building a strong foundation, working through examples together, and encouraging students to think through problems independently. I'm patient, approachable, and happy to explain concepts in different ways until they make sense.

I teach in English and can adapt my pace and teaching style to suit each student's needs. A typical lesson includes reviewing any difficult topics, working through practice questions step by step, and discussing problem-solving strategies that students can apply on their own.

My lessons are suitable for primary school and high school students studying Mathematics and Science. Whether you're preparing for exams, catching up on classwork, or aiming to improve your confidence, my goal is to help you develop a genuine understanding of the subject.

We have been close friends since high school, and I can confidently say that Sokhna is exceptionally intelligent and would make an excellent English tutor. Throughout school, she was consistently praised for her strong English skills, and she was always willing to help me whenever we studied together. Whether it was reviewing my essays or explaining ways to answer specific types of questions, she always knew what advice to give, and it came with results. She is patient, supportive, and dedicated, taking the time to ensure that a student fully understands a concept before moving on. I have no doubt that she will make a positive impact on her students, just as she did on me during our time in school.
