About Connor
I have spent the last ten years in music education learning from a variety of teachers, and I have found that students often have trouble with their teachers, not music itself. I like to make musical study something that is enjoyable, where both the student and the teacher can contribute to the lesson. I like to work on students' personal goals and create a plan that can help us achieve them. I spent the last year as a teaching fellow at Juilliard's Music Advancement Program (MAP) where I had the opportunity to work with students of all ages alongside globally acclaimed teachers, including musicians from the Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic.

I like to focus on the fundamentals! Exercises and musical repertoire that emphasize work on sound, articulation, and technique are a regular part of my lessons. After establishing a comfortable relationship with your instrument, we can use listening and ear training to help develop advanced skills including sight-reading and improvisation. I also work with beginners intending to learn notes on the instruments and musical notation.
