About Meghan
Growing up, I was the friend who would proof read papers for my friends, and play "school" games for fun; creating assignments, and establishing my role as "teacher." I have always been passionate about helping other people to understand new concepts.
In elementary school, I was diagnosed with my own learning disability, called dyscalculia, which impacts learning comprehension in mathematic subject areas. I received an immense amount of support and assistance from teachers and tutors as a result. Now, my skills have drastically improved in these areas, and I have successfully graduated high school and am currently enrolled as a college student. It is my goal to return the support I was given at my younger age, by helping other's in the subject area I have enjoyed for the majority of my life, English.
I understand from personal experience that sometimes unconventional methods are required to assist students who view the world and academics differently than the majority of their peers. It is my privilege to dedicate time to develop interpersonal ways to reach that "light bulb" moment for all students.

In addition to assisting students with classroom assignments, I also provide exercises to enhance student confidence in difficult subject matters. Content and assignments vary to ensure each student is met with a personalized experience that resonates most effectively with their individual skill sets. I am extremely passionate about working with students who experience learning difficulties and those who view ideas from a neurodivergent perspective.
