About Ellie
The most important thing that you need to know is that I love teaching!
I have been teaching for well over a decade and I simply can't imagine doing anything else. Having spent the majority of my career teaching people from all over the world from princes to asylum seekers, I moved to secondary teaching a few years ago and am passionate about helping teens grow and develop for a brighter future.
I try to use a variety of teaching styles to fit the needs of my students; I believe that anyone can learn anything if they are driven to do it and if the content is delivered in a way that engages the learner - but that's not to say we don't struggle sometimes. I will support you with your learning journey and will encourage you, but also be honest too.

I tailor engaging and challenging lessons to suit your learning preferences and your needs for ages 11 to 18. The lessons can be either 45 minutes or an hour long and I can help you with KS3, GCSEs and A Levels in both language and literature.
My lessons will help guide and support you through to your goals, be that an exam or just to feel more confident in English. Our lessons can be adaptable to ensure that you are always striving for your best and will include relevant knowledge retrieval to ensure what you are learning is embedded.
I am a fully qualified English teacher currently teaching in a secondary school in the South West helping students prepare for GCSEs as well as the KS3 curriculum.
