About John
I'm a senior at CU Boulder completing a BS in Applied Mathematics for Actuarial Science, with minors in Statistics and Economics. I'm currently working for a company ML-Edutainment as a Software Developer working on adaptive educational math and computer science gaming software. I've worked with Mathnasium as a certified instructor for 3 years. I've also tutored privately as well as with Tutor Hero/Grade Potential for 4 years. Communication, reliability, and punctuality are critical for positive learning experiences.

We will work together to establish learning goals based on student needs. Starting from what student already know, a roadmap to reach learning goals determines direction of lessons. Our typical lesson will begin with a brief review of our previous work, an outline of our learning objectives for the day, and ends with a discussion of things to work on before our next meeting and identifying concepts that may need more work.
I've worked with students K-12, undergraduate students, and adult professionals. I have extensive educational material and have written interactive CoLab books for college level Probability and Calculus (I, II). I'm passionate mathematics and enjoy exploring all the different methods to develop math concepts with students.
