About Shagun
I am a first-year law student at the University of Calcutta, where I balance a rigorous academic schedule with my passion for teaching and mentorship. My journey in education began alongside my own studies, as I realized that the best way to master a subject is to simplify it for others. This led me to pursue tutoring, where I have successfully guided students through the complexities of Humanities, English, and Social Sciences.
Beyond the classroom, I serve as a Class Representative (CR), a role that has sharpened my leadership, patience, and ability to communicate clearly with diverse groups of people. My background is rooted in competitive debating and legal research, skills that allow me to teach students how to think critically rather than just memorizing facts. Whether I am helping a student deconstruct a difficult history chapter or refine an English essay, my focus is always on logic and clarity.
My teaching experience is defined by a 'student-to-student' connection. Being a current student myself, I understand the modern pressures of exams and curriculum changes. I don't just act as a tutor; I act as a mentor who provides structured study plans, effective note-taking strategies, and the confidence needed to excel academically.
I believe that every student has a unique learning style. My goal is to identify that style and provide a disciplined, supportive environment where academic goals are not just met, but exceeded.
