About Sofia
Hello, I'm Sofia Leão, a Brazilian singer-songwriter with a passion for nurturing musical talent. Music has been part of my life since childhood, singing alongside my musician father. My journey led me to a degree in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music, where I developed my skills.
My background includes enriching experiences as a music tutor both before and during my time at Berklee. Back in Brazil, I shared my love for music with kids, helping them discover their voices. At Berklee, I further refined my teaching skills as a core music tutor, solidifying my commitment to guiding others on their musical adventures.
Confidence, legitimacy, and professionalism are at the core of my teaching approach. I believe in empowering students to believe in their abilities, knowing that I'm not only an educator but also a fellow artist who understands the journey. Let's embark on a musical adventure together, as we explore the art of singing, songwriting, and everything in between.
