About Clayton
Some of the things we will focus on:
*We will pay attention to vowels and consonants, finding the best ways to sing with clarity & good diction.
*We will cover breath control, how to create a powerful and beautiful sound from the voice, and work on projecting so that your beautiful voice can be heard!
*I will help you gain confidence on stage, get over your nerves, and make an awesome performance of your dreams.
*I will teach you songs from a variety of styles, possibly even songs in Italian! And I will cater your lessons to what you want to get better at, whatever style you like. I even use pop songs that you already know in your lessons, because my philosophy is: SINGING SHOULD BE FUN!

Hi, my name is Clayton, and I’ve been a vocal coach & voice teacher for 25 years at the Shane Center for the Arts located in Livingston, Montana. I keep an active studio of piano & voice students, and I work a lot with kids who love musical theater! My background is in Classical singing, but I can use the techniques I’ve learned in college to relate to any style of singing, from musical theater to jazz to rock & pop. I like to focus a lot on proper vocal technique, improving the vocal range (both high voice and low), and making a dynamic performance on stage with focus on projection and form.
