Declan has taught our son in guitar over many years; throughout primary school and now into high school. Declan is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher, really connecting with our son and building a wonderful rapport and continually inspiring his joy for music with a positive and easygoing approach. He takes an interest in what styles and genres our son has liked to play, and is always encouraging that, as well as putting a lot of thought into introducing him to other bands’ music that he may not have otherwise been aware of, in turn broadening his horizons. Declan is forthcoming with insightful and constructive feedback for us, which of course as parents we always appreciate. Very happy to recommend Declan!

We were so fortunate to have Declan give our son guitar lessons over the past 3-4 years. We started locally for us in Wollongong NSW and our son was instantly comfortable with Declan. He found him to be a positive and supportive teacher and was easy to understand. Thank goodness for Declan and skype lessons during COVID as they didn’t miss a beat during this time , and it set us up to follow through with lessons when Declan was finally able to relocate to Melbourne . I have been taught by Declan for just over 5 years. His technical ability, way of teaching, and friendly nature saw me build a relationship with him that went beyond just a guitar teacher. He is technically gifted, with a passion for music and teaching, and his broad skillset within music allows for him to be the perfect teacher for anyone.

I started taking lessons with Declan purely for guitar, and through exploring different play styles, genres etc, Declan's broad skillset was evident almost immediately. As time went on, we moved to piano, singing and even song production. When you get taught by Declan, you get so much more than a teacher. You get a man who is gifted in the art of music, passionate about teaching people, and someone you can just have a chat to. From personal experience, I would implore anyone who has the opportunity to take lessons with Declan to do so. There is simply no way you will regret it.
