About Talia
I hold a B.Mus in Vocal Performance and Music Education and have 7 years of experience teaching singers at all levels. My approach emphasizes developing both technical skill and expressive artistry, allowing students to become well-rounded vocalists. I create a positive, nurturing environment where learners feel encouraged to experiment, take risks, and explore their unique vocal qualities. Lessons incorporate structured warm-ups, technical exercises, sight-singing, repertoire study, improvisation, and performance preparation. I provide detailed, individualized feedback and practical strategies to help students improve consistently, focusing on both technique and expressive performance. My method ensures learners develop independence, confidence, and artistic insight. Outside teaching, I perform regularly, study diverse vocal styles, and engage with contemporary pedagogy, bringing rich perspectives to lessons. Teaching singing is fulfilling because I witness students grow technically, emotionally, and artistically. Through consistent practice, constructive feedback, and creative exploration, students build both vocal skill and expressive artistry.
Lesson structure is tailored to skill level. Beginners focus on breath support, pitch stability, fundamental exercises, and simple repertoire. Intermediate learners refine resonance, phrasing, stylistic interpretation, and participate in mini-performances. Advanced students engage in complex repertoire, advanced techniques, improvisation, stagecraft, and expressive performance coaching.
