About Galen
With over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice, I teach singing as a full-body, mindful practice. I believe the voice is not just sound, but a reflection of our whole being. My lessons blend physical alignment, breath awareness, and emotional expression to create a balanced and healthy vocal technique. We begin with yoga-inspired warmups that relax the body and prepare the breath. Through body mapping, I help students understand how posture and movement affect their sound. Tension release techniques allow singers to free their voices and sing with greater ease and confidence. I enjoy exploring diverse genres with my students, from World Music and Chanting to Folk Fusion and Healing Sound. These styles offer rich opportunities for self-expression and personal connection to music. My approach welcomes singers of all levels and backgrounds, creating a supportive space for growth. Together, we’ll discover how your voice can become a tool for well-being, creative freedom, and joyful expression.

In my singing lessons, we focus on small wins that build big confidence over time. Every session starts with custom vocal warm-ups designed to match each student’s voice and needs. I create daily drills that fit into your schedule, making practice feel manageable and rewarding. We use note tracking to monitor progress, so you can see how far you’ve come with each new skill.
Lyric analysis helps students connect emotionally to the songs they sing, turning technique into true expression. I guide students gently through challenges, helping them face any fear of failure with patience and encouragement. Each goal is broken into simple, achievable steps that make growth feel steady and exciting.
For students who enjoy structure, I offer goal charts and practice playlists to keep motivation high. Those who crave inspiration and exploration find space to try new styles and express their unique sound. We celebrate every success, no matter how small, building a strong foundation of confidence.
