A typical lesson would be 1 hour, aimed towards KS3/GCSE Biology/Chemistry students. I teach by reinforcing understanding of the basic concepts first, then move on to focusing on lots of past paper questions, where learning how to write answers according to the mark scheme is crucial. With difficult topics, I employ spaced repetition using a ‘little but often’ approach. I can also teach study skills where necessary. I’ve had 2 years of experience being a mentor/tutor to lower school students.
