About Yasmine
I’m a guitar tutor with 12+ years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz, where I focused on guitar performance. I specialize in teaching Electric, Acoustic, Classical, and Bass Guitar for film scoring and video game soundtracks. My lessons cover key areas like creating atmospheric textures, developing memorable themes, sound design, and working with digital audio workstations (DAWs). I tailor my teaching to fit the goals of each student, whether they are young learners or adults passionate about media composition. My approach is student-centered, encouraging creativity while building solid technical skills. I help students understand how guitar can bring cinematic and gaming worlds to life through sound. My teaching approach centers on songwriting with guitar, helping students develop skills in lyrical composition, chord progression choices, and arranging acoustic pieces. I believe creativity thrives when combined with structure, so I guide students to organize their musical ideas clearly while encouraging original expression. Together, we explore how chords and melodies work hand in hand to tell stories.
I’m especially skilled at working with The Blues Seeker and The Aspiring Rock Star, supporting them in turning their inspirations into unique songs. Whether you’re starting with a simple riff or a full lyric, I help you shape your ideas into complete pieces. My lessons balance technical skills with creative freedom.
You’ll learn how to build strong song structures, choose the right chords, and add arrangements that bring your music to life. I encourage experimentation while providing clear steps to keep progress steady. We’ll focus on making your guitar work reflect your personal voice.
