About Tavian
I am a passionate guitar tutor with 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music. My journey with the guitar began early in life, and over the years, I’ve developed both my skills as a musician and as an educator. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping students discover their own musical voice, whether they are beginners or more advanced players. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and personalized instruction. I understand that each student has unique goals and learning styles, so I tailor lessons to fit individual needs and interests. I believe that learning guitar should be both challenging and fun, creating a positive environment where students feel motivated to improve. I stay current with the latest teaching methods and continuously expand my musical repertoire to offer diverse and engaging lessons. I incorporate a blend of technical exercises, music theory, and song-based learning to develop well-rounded musicianship. What I find most rewarding is watching my students grow in confidence and skill. Whether they aspire to play for personal enjoyment, join a band, or perform professionally, I am dedicated to supporting their musical journey every step of the way.

My guitar lessons are designed to nurture both your technical skills and musical creativity. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, each session is tailored to your individual goals and musical tastes. We focus on foundational techniques like fingerstyle, strumming patterns, and chord transitions to build a strong and versatile playing ability.
Lessons begin with an assessment of your current skills and preferred genres, allowing me to customize exercises that keep you motivated and challenged. Alongside practical playing, I incorporate music theory concepts to deepen your understanding of song structure, scales, and improvisation, giving you tools to create and adapt music confidently.
As you progress, I introduce improvisation and songwriting techniques to encourage personal expression and creativity. We also explore different styles and rhythms, helping you develop versatility and a unique playing style. Performance tips and practice routines are part of our work to prepare you for playing solo or with others.
Throughout the course, I provide constructive feedback and tailored practice plans to accelerate your growth. My goal is to make learning guitar enjoyable and rewarding, empowering you to reach your full musical potential, whether for casual playing or professional performance.
