About Micah
I am a Coast Guard veteran and taught social studies for two years. I am a huge history nerd and taught U.S. History, World Civ., Psychology, and Law and Justice. I have in depth knowledge on several different eras of historical relevance when it comes course material necessary to excel in most high school social studies courses.

I have an out of the box teaching approach. I believe that lecturing is necessary when needed but I like for the students to be able to discover the answers for themselves through proper research through materials such as secondary and primary sources. It's all about developing those critical thinking skills necessary to excel in life outside of school. I love having productive conversations in class where you get to know your students and the students get to better know the material.
