About Bih
Hi, I’m Bih! I’m a Psychology graduate with a strong passion for Sociology and education. I achieved an A* in Sociology and a 2:1 in Psychology, and I love helping students turn difficult concepts into ideas they can genuinely understand and apply.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time when they need to. I believe confidence is an important part of learning, and I’ll always aim to create a supportive environment where students can see their progress and feel proud of what they achieve.

My approach to tutoring is focused on understanding, application and consolidation rather than simply memorising information.
I achieved an A* in Sociology and have a 2:1 degree in Psychology, which gives me a strong academic foundation and allows me to bring psychological perspectives and real-world examples into my teaching. I have experience supporting others in learning environments and enjoy adapting explanations to suit different ways of understanding.
In lessons, I first identify what the student already understands and where they need support. I then break complex concepts into manageable sections, explain them clearly, and use real-life examples to make abstract sociological ideas easier to understand. Students are encouraged to apply what they have learnt through questioning, discussion and exam-style questions rather than simply listening.
I place particular importance on consolidation. We regularly revisit previous topics through retrieval practice and short questions so that knowledge is retained over time. I also provide clear feedback on exam technique, particularly application, analysis, evaluation and essay structure.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt this depending on the student's age, level and individual needs.
I primarily tutor GCSE and A Level Sociology students, including students who are building their confidence with the subject, preparing for exams or aiming to improve their grades.
My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing into confident, independent learners.
