About Jean-André
I am a history student who spent 5 years study at Rhodes University in the Eastern Cape. My degree was a bachelor of social science in History, Anthropology and Politics. Rhodes being the university that it is, established quite the avenue for political identity examination, with its large variety of social topics available.
I then completed my honors in History, where i examined elements of masculinity and sexuality during Apartheid.
I specialist in transformation studies, dealing with topics such as sex, masculinity, sexuality, race, gender, class etc. An examination of South African society, has throughout my varsity years, provided me with a wonderful ability to examine how political climates influence the human condition.

I am trained as a university tutor, but my abilities are not limited to university studies, as my understand of writing and research I believe, can be beneficial to a variety of age groups.
My methods tends to fall away from the typical structured lessons that we have in our classrooms in schools these days. This is largely because my tutoring is in critical thinking and understanding, which stipulates to a more widespread application based form of study. Its the ability to sift through vast amounts of information and understand the social and political positionality that the information spawned from. I instill a means to think and critically understand.
