About Marina
I am well suited to working with students from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds. I have a strong knowledge and cultural awareness of Spanish and French cultures and I consider myself well trained to design lessons to fit my students' needs, maximize their potential and to ensure their success. I follow a communicative approach to learning where students are encouraged to participate, and everything is put in context. Another important aspect of my teaching is the integration of culture. A language cannot be taught or learned independently of culture. From my own experience, I think that learning a foreign language changes your view of the world. A new way to communicate makes students see things through a different lens, the lens that language and culture provide. Finally, I integrate technology in multiple ways to enhance my educational goals. It is my belief that with adequate guidance and the right pedagogical approach, technological tools can help improve teaching and learning. I also use videos, useful links, vocabulary flashcards, games and songs to make learning fun. I am very confident that I can help you achieve your language goals.
