About Skyla
My passion for Spanish emerged through academic study and cultural exploration, leading me to complete a B.A. in Spanish Language and Cultural Studies. Over 9 years of teaching, I have worked with learners of varied ages and goals, helping them grow from hesitation into confident communication through patient guidance. I believe language learning thrives in a supportive, relaxed environment. I emphasize clarity, repetition with variation, and real-life examples so students feel secure using Spanish independently. I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences and paces. Beyond teaching, I continue engaging with Spanish literature, media, and cultural research. Teaching Spanish is deeply fulfilling because I witness learners gain confidence, curiosity, and connection across cultures. Supporting that transformation is the most rewarding part of my work.
