About Zara
I am a recent Law with Spanish Law graduate, and a lover of languages in general - one of my goals in life is to be able to speak as many languages as I can possibly learn!
I have lived in Barcelona and, although I mostly spoke Catalan there, I also spoke Spanish with Spanish-speaking friends I made, and I have travelled extensively throughout Spain, which has afforded me rich practical experience that I can share with you.
I have been tutoring Spanish for over 5 years at all levels - from absolute beginner to advanced. In addition to my interest in languages, I have extensive experience coaching sports such as rowing and powerlifting, and working with athletes of all ages and abilities - from children and young people to older adults. This means I am adept at tailoring my teaching approach to suit each individual and their needs, whatever they may be.
I am friendly and approachable, and my teaching style is relaxed but effective. I employ a practical approach, which allows my students to learn the Spanish that they need in order to communicate and be understood, and I break down complex concepts into clear, easy-to-understand chunks.

I am available to teach Spanish to anyone who would like to learn - from complete beginners to advanced speakers!
Whether your goals are acing a GCSE or A Level exam, mastering complex grammar structures, or simply being able to order a drink in Spanish, I am more than happy to assist you. Each learner is different, and I will tailor my lesson style and format directly to your needs and preferences.
My lessons are accessible and relaxed. The format will vary depending on whether the session's focus is reading, writing, listening, or speaking, but you will leave feeling confident that you can conquer each and every aspect of the Spanish language. I will break down grammatical concepts and explain them in understandable terms which apply to everyday scenarios (there's no point knowing a grammar rule if you don't use it!) and explain which words and structures to use to sound natural in conversation.
If you're looking for a way to immerse yourself in Spanish between lessons, I can show you online resources aimed at Spanish learners, as well as recommend music, films, and tv shows. I can also help with literature or film analysis if this is something that you are interested in (or need to do for your Spanish qualification!).
