As speaker of five languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French, and Italian), I have always learnt by practice and exposure to new situations. Therefore, my teaching approach is student-centered and highly interactive. I incorporate a lot of conversation practice, real-life scenarios, and cultural context into my lessons. I use a blend of traditional and modern techniques, including multimedia resources, language games, and immersive activities to keep lessons engaging and effective. I tailor my teaching methods to each student's learning style and goals, ensuring a personalized learning experience.

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of the previous session to reinforce retention. We then move on to new material, which could include vocabulary, grammar, or specific language skills depending on the student's needs. I like to incorporate a mix of listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises. For instance, we might start with a short dialogue or listening exercise, followed by a discussion, some targeted grammar practice, and a writing task. The lesson usually ends with a recap and a preview of what we'll cover next time. I also assign homework to reinforce what we've learned and to prepare for the next session.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my extensive experience and my background in Political Science, which gives me a unique perspective on the Spanish language and its cultural nuances. With over 10 years of tutoring experience in a foreign language (English), I've developed a keen ability to identify and address the individual challenges students face. Now, I'm passionate about making learning Spanish a fun and rewarding experience, and I'm dedicated to helping my students achieve fluency and confidence in their language skills. Additionally, being based in Toronto, I offer both online and face-to-face lessons, providing flexibility to meet my students' preferences and schedules.

Last but not least, my lessons are suitable for a wide range of learners, from complete beginners to advanced students. I offer tailored programs for high school and university students who need extra support with their coursework, as well as professionals looking to improve their Spanish for career advancement. Whether you're preparing for a trip to a Spanish-speaking country, studying for a language proficiency exam, or simply interested in learning for personal enrichment, I can create a customized learning plan to meet your needs and goals.
