About Mikhaila
I grew up and went through most of my schooling in Mexico. I'm fluent in English and Spanish, and learned to read and write in Spanish. I have 11 years of bilingual schooling under my belt, and I lived life speaking, reading, and writing Spanish every day. My academic background involves an English Literature degree from UBC Vancouver and seven years of work experience as a digital communications specialist. In my roles, I have often been asked to translate technical documents from English to Spanish or Spanish to English.

If I'm working one-on-one, I like to get a sense of the level I'm teaching at based on student's needs. In a group, I find that playing group games and using workbooks with paired exercises is a good way to get everyone practicing together. Assigning Spanish dialogue activities where students have to write their own script and present in front of the class is also an effective way for students to have fun and learn.

Perfect! Fun and cheerful teaching style … enjoyable for sure
Perfect! Mikhaila makes it easy to learn. I was a little nervous to start but at the end of every hour I feel like I’m talking to a friend and I always have new strengths at the end of every class.

I found Mikhaila through superprof. She is really friendly and fun to learn with. She customizes lessons to what is relevant for you and works towards goals. She focuses a lot on listening and speaking which is key to learning a new language!
Mikhaila is a splendid tutor! She is great for getting you started and keeping you motivated and striving along. She is patient and thorough in her teachings but most of all she makes learning fun!
