About James

I am a self-taught software engineer and have been writing software for 5+ years, using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, C, SQL. My experience has ranged from embedded programming to web-based applications. I've also used a range of technologies, frameworks and libraries such as STM32, MySQL, MongoDB, NextJS, Docker, Kubernetes, and many more. I am a big believer that working on projects is the best way to become better at programming.

- The best way to learn programming is to work towards a project, because it is fun to see everything come together especially when you don't have the skills needed to begin with - You'll learn how to tackle problems that you haven't encountered before, and how to make decisions on how to implement things
